My name is Tony Hart and I am a professional

wedding photographer

. I specialise in

wedding photojournalism

and

wedding reportage

photography with an emphasis on black & white imagery. It's not uncommon for photographers to talk at length about the specific style and philosophy they bring to

wedding photography,

but I'll try to keep things brief. I believe in letting my pictures speak for themselves.

I take a very hands-off approach to wedding photography and rarely direct events during the day. I aim to be another face in the crowd and always try and minimise the couples 'camera awareness' - the best images always come when you don't know you're having your picture taken. While traditional group photos are an important part of any wedding day they are not a central part of my style. Instead I try and build a more intimate and relaxed portrait of the day focusing on seeing your wedding through softer, more familiar eyes. This is the wedding photojournalist's job.

Although the majority of my work is in wedding photojournalism, I also shoot in a number of other fields, including

portraits,

sports and action photography,

gig photography,

and

fine art.
