Hedsor House
Shari & Neil - Cliveden & Hedsor House, Bucks

Shari & Neil were married at Hedsor House, near Taplow in Buckinghamshire, back in September. You’ll be seeing a fair bit of Hedsor over the coming weeks as, after wanting to shoot there for years, I had two weddings there within the space of a few weeks! Hedsor House is one of the best wedding venues in the country. In 2011 The Times placed it at no. 2 in its list of Top Regal Wedding Venues and last year it was chosen as Tatler’s ‘No. 1 Top Venue’ and Vogue’s ‘Dream Venue’. In short it’s a simply outstanding location for a wedding! Shari & Neil both work in the events industry and it really showed, everything was meticulously put together.
The day kicked-off across the road at Cliveden (an astonishing building in its own right) with Shari’s bridal prep and the pageboy and flower girls having a thoroughly good time. Despite being a wedding rife with emotion, it also felt extremely relaxed, which is a testament to Shari and Neil and a testament to their day. Following Cliveden, it was off to Hedsor for the main event. The wedding ceremony itself concluded with a bit of a surprise. A la ‘Love Actually’ a previously smuggled in gospel choir, the fantastic Gospel Singers Incognito, sprung from the mezzanine and launched into a spot of Bob Marley. It was ridiculously cool.
The day ended with an amazing fireworks display and lots of dancing. All in all, pretty much what a wedding should be! My thanks to Shari & Neil for having me and for being such superb clients and thanks also to Rob Sambles for coming along to assist. Below are a selection of my favourites. It was hard to trim this wedding down to size as I loved so many of them. Enjoy!
